Criteria
SPICMA works through the structure of the Catholic Church in the developing world to help those most in need.
We primarily focus our grants on small projects at parish level.
Most grants are between £3,000 and £8,000 and must be accompanied by a letter of support from the local bishop.
Typical projects include:
The construction or renovation of classrooms and toilet blocks
The installation of boreholes, water plants and water harvesting systems
Equipment for dispensaries and training schools
Emergency aid
Because we recognise the need to support the Church on the ground, SPICMA also occasionally funds projects to repair or complete Church structures, including convents, parish houses, chapels, etc.
